[Asia Economy Reporter Jeon Jinyoung] Emart24 announced on the 1st that it has prepared year-end gathering discount products so that customers who enjoy year-end parties at home can purchase and enjoy everything from alcoholic beverages such as wine, liquor, and beer to meal kits at nearby convenience stores in one go.


Through this month's wine event, Emart24 is selling ‘La Crassade Cabernet Syrah·Chardonnay’, ‘Two Suck Jumper Dear Riesling’, and ‘Two Suck Jumper Hwangso Cabarizerva·Monastrell’ at a discounted price of 9,900 won until the end of December, and selling ‘Textbook Pavenech Sauvignon’ (59,000 won) and ‘Milacalla’ (65,000 won) as this month’s premium wines.


Also, in line with the trend of home drinking, this month’s cocktail event products include ‘Bling Bling Deep Blue Universe·Pink Milky Way’ (25,000 won), and the traditional liquor of the month, ‘Sueulsueul Igangju’ (7,900 won), is being sold at a discount.


During December, when paying for all wine and liquor products, if customers scan the Emart24 mobile application (app) integrated barcode, 100 people will be selected by lottery to receive gifts such as indoor sports playground ‘Smob’ admission tickets and CGV IMAX movie tickets.


Differentiated beer products are also offered at discounted prices for the year-end. Emart24 is running a ‘6 cans for 9,900 won’ event for 12 products including ‘Banana Planet Beer’ launched in collaboration with The Starlight Brewing, ‘SSG Landers Lager’ and ‘Superstars Ale’ inspired by the SSG Landers baseball team, and ‘Sotsot Lager’ introduced in partnership with Kolon Sports and Amazing Brewing Company.


For meal kit products, black label steak, shrimp rose pasta, gambas, and bacon cream risotto, which are suitable for year-end gatherings, have been selected and are being sold at a discount.


For desserts, two types of Chosun Hotel cakes and four types of H?agen-Dazs and Natuur ice cream cakes are available for pre-order until 10 a.m. on the 13th. Customers who wish to place a pre-order can do so through offline stores, and the products can be received sequentially at the reserved stores from the 23rd of this month.


Especially this year, Emart24 is exclusively selling Italy’s traditional Christmas desserts ‘Pandoro’ and ‘Panettone’. These are festival breads shared with family or given as gifts during Christmas in Italy. Emart24’s strategy is to attract customers by introducing unique products not seen in existing convenience stores targeting this Christmas and year-end season.


In addition to hotel cakes and unique Christmas desserts, cost-effective products priced around 10,000 won suitable for year-end gifts such as walnut pie and pound cake have also been prepared.


An Emart24 official said, “We planned various discount events so that customers can purchase year-end products at reasonable prices at convenience stores, which are close-range shopping channels. With various events including the World Cup and Christmas packed in December, we prepared discount events on a larger scale than usual, and we expect great responses from customers.”
