[Asia Economy (Suwon) = Reporter Lee Young-gyu] Gyeonggi Housing and Urban Corporation (GH) will supply one commercial-residential lot and twelve residential-only lots within the acquisition area of the 'Gwangju Station Area Urban Development Project' on the 1st of next month.


The Gwangju Station Area Urban Development is being developed on a total area of 489,000㎡ around Gyeonggang Line Gyeonggi Gwangju Station, which opened in 2016, with a capacity to accommodate about 5,500 people.


The commercial-residential detached housing lot to be supplied this time will be offered through a competitive bidding process at approximately 12.77 million KRW per 3.3㎡. The residential-only detached housing lots will have a planned supply price ranging from 10.18 million to 10.89 million KRW per 3.3㎡, and the buyers will be selected by lottery.


The Gwangju Station Area is located near large-scale apartment complexes centered around Gyeonggi Gwangju Station. In particular, it has industrial land (22,172.1㎡) that will serve as an innovation hub and abundant demand from the station area’s hinterland. It also has the geographical advantage of being close to Pangyo. Furthermore, with transportation benefits such as the Suseo-Gwangju double-track railway, Wirye Samdong Line, and Seoul-Sejong Expressway, it is expected to establish itself as an important location in the southeastern metropolitan area.


The bidding will be conducted on the 12th of next month through the GH Land Sales System. Contracts will be signed from the 22nd to the 28th of next month. Detailed information regarding the supply can be found on the corporation’s website and the Land Sales System.
