[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Gwiyeol] Yeongyang-gun, Gyeongbuk Province, is recruiting participants for the 2023 Disabled Persons Job Project from December 5 to 9.
The number of recruits is a total of 27, including 15 general jobs (10 full-time, 5 part-time) and 12 welfare jobs. Applicants must be unemployed registered disabled persons aged 18 or older residing in the Yeongyang area.
However, those enrolled in workplace health insurance, participants in other financially supported job projects, and those who have participated in the disabled persons job project for more than two consecutive years are excluded.
For general jobs, full-time workers will receive a monthly salary of 2,010,000 KRW for working 40 hours per week (5 days), and part-time workers will receive 1,005,000 KRW per month for working 20 hours per week (5 days). Welfare jobs offer a monthly salary of 538,000 KRW for working within 14 hours per week (56 hours per month).
The county plans to select the final participants in December through document screening and interviews. Selected disabled persons will work from January to December next year at the county office, eup/myeon administrative welfare centers, social welfare facilities (such as welfare centers), and non-profit private organizations (disabled persons' groups).
Lee Seonjeong, Director of the Resident Welfare Division, said, "This is an important project that provides customized jobs for disabled persons to expand social opportunities, guarantee income, and support independent living. We hope for active participation from disabled persons who wish to find employment, and we will continue to expand various policies to promote the welfare of disabled persons."
Those wishing to participate in the project can submit their application forms and required documents in person to the Welfare Policy Team of the Resident Welfare Division.
