Gwangju Buk-gu, Recruitment of Participants for 2023 Disabled Persons Job Project

[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Yukbong] Buk-gu, Gwangju City announced on the 30th that it will recruit participants for the '2023 Disabled Employment Project' until the 7th of next month to expand social participation and support income security for people with disabilities.


The number of recruits is a total of 329, including 149 general jobs (83 full-time, 66 part-time) and 180 welfare jobs, with the work period from January to December next year.


General jobs involve performing administrative assistant and welfare service support tasks at the district office, community administrative welfare centers, etc., with full-time (5 days a week, 8 hours a day) and part-time (5 days a week, 4 hours a day) work conditions, and monthly salaries of 2,010,580 KRW and 1,005,290 KRW respectively.


Welfare jobs involve performing tasks such as environmental cleanup, parking guidance, and D&D care at public institutions and social welfare facilities, with work conditions of 14 hours per week (56 hours per month) and a monthly salary of 538,720 KRW.


Eligible participants are unemployed registered persons with disabilities aged 18 or older residing in Buk-gu who are capable of performing the relevant tasks. However, those who are enrolled in workplace health insurance, participants in other financially supported jobs, or those who have participated in the disabled employment project for two consecutive years or more are excluded.


To participate, applicants can visit the Buk-gu Office website, bring the required documents, and apply in person at the community administrative welfare center of their residence. Final selected candidates will be individually notified next month after interviews, etc.


Director Moon In said, "We hope for active participation from people with disabilities who are having difficulties finding employment," and added, "We will continue to prepare measures to promote social participation and independence for people with disabilities."
