Lee Young-pyo, Vice President of the Korea Football Association, said in an interview with CBS Radio's 'Kim Hyun-jung's News Show' on the 29th, "After the first match against Uruguay, a very reputable European club's technical director contacted us regarding scouting," adding, "They asked various questions such as what kind of personality Cho Gyu-sung has and whether he is diligent."


Vice President Lee praised Cho Gyu-sung, saying, "If you are not a K League fan, you might not know Cho Gyu-sung well, but within the K League, he is already a fully recognized player," and "He can shoot well with both his left and right foot and can deliver excellent shots regardless of the angle." He also complimented him on his ▲ outstanding off-the-ball movement ▲ and selfless play. In particular, he highly praised him, saying, "Despite his young age, Cho Gyu-sung has already completed his military service at Gimcheon Sangmu," and "He is a talent who can lead Korean football for a very long time in the future."


Vice President Lee also sent words of encouragement to the national team players ahead of the last group stage match against Portugal. He said, "Regardless of the results, I was pleased with the style, methods, players' attitudes, and mental preparation in the two matches (Uruguay and Ghana)," and encouraged, "I hope the football fans can stand up and applaud after the game, regardless of the outcome, and that the players will have a great match with no regrets."
