[Asia Economy Reporter Minwoo Lee] Various military service-related documents such as discharge certificates and enlistment/conscription notices will be available for digital verification.

KB Kookmin Bank announced on the 29th that it has signed a business agreement with the Military Manpower Administration to establish a digital-based cooperative system and promote a proper military service culture.

Accordingly, KB Kookmin Bank will provide a digital ID and certificate linkage service for those obligated to serve and those currently serving through 'KB Wallet' starting next month. Through this service, three types of IDs?military service ID, social service personnel ID, and discharge certificate?as well as three types of certificates?military physical examination result notification, enlistment/conscription notice, and others?can be verified within KB Wallet.

Additionally, a certified electronic document relay service tailored to the military service lifecycle of South Korea’s young and middle-aged population, from enlistment notice to civil defense conscription and release, will be introduced. This digital public service will allow safe and convenient viewing, storage, and management of various military-related notices in electronic document form, preventing personal information exposure caused by loss of paper mail or long-term neglect. Furthermore, both organizations have agreed to provide preferential services for distinguished military families and those who have fulfilled their military duties.

Lee Jae-geun, President of KB Kookmin Bank, stated, "We will continue to strengthen collaboration with the Military Manpower Administration across various fields to provide convenient, life-oriented services."
