Chosun University Hospital Holds 'Patient Safety Day' Event

[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Yoon Jamin] Chosun University Hospital (Hospital Director Kim Kyungjong) announced on the 29th that it held the ‘2022 Patient Safety Day’ event.

The event, held the previous day in the central lobby, was conducted under the theme ‘Let’s Be Together! Patient Safety’ and aimed to improve medical quality and establish a patient safety culture.

On this day, all staff members of Chosun University Hospital wore masks printed with patient safety logos saying ‘Patient Identification First’ and ‘Let’s Prevent Falls Together’ and worked while conveying patient safety messages.

Chosun University Hospital holds this event annually to foster staff awareness of patient safety, activate voluntary reporting of patient safety incidents, and establish a patient safety culture.

The event held in the hospital lobby featured various programs such as ▲Five Promises for Patient Safety ▲You Quiz? Complete Mastery of Patient Safety! ▲Let’s Be Together Patient Safety, Three-Shot Photo Booth.

Also, on the morning of the day, an awards ceremony for excellent patient safety departments was held to recognize nine departments that contributed to establishing a patient safety culture, including excellent near-miss reporting and outstanding patient safety improvement activities. The 63rd ward was selected for the excellent department award in near-miss reporting, and the IT team was chosen for the grand prize in patient safety improvement activities.

Hospital Director Kim Kyungjong said, “Through the various programs conducted on Patient Safety Day, it was a time to once again reflect on the importance of patient safety,” adding, “Let us continuously strive to establish a patient safety culture and create a hospital where patients can receive treatment safely.”
