'Arrest Warrant Issued for Kim Bong-hyun's Older Sister Who Aided His Escape, the "Rhyme Culprit"' An arrest warrant has been issued for the elder sister of Kim Bong-hyun, former chairman of Star Mobility and a key figure in the Lian Asset Management scandal.

[Asia Economy Reporter Oh Gyumin] An arrest warrant has been issued for the elder sister of Kim Bonghyun, former chairman of Star Mobility and a key figure in the Lime Asset Management scandal.

On the 29th, the Seoul Southern District Prosecutors' Office announced that it had obtained an arrest warrant the previous day for Kim's elder sister, Kim Mo (50), on charges of aiding a fugitive. Kim resides in the United States and is accused of assisting Kim Bonghyun's escape through her boyfriend and Kim's girlfriend. Prosecutors believe Kim contacted Kim Bonghyun through her boyfriend to aid his escape. It is reported that she connected a three-way call between Kim Bonghyun and his lover, A, using KakaoTalk's voice call feature. Based on the arrest warrant, prosecutors are also considering invalidating Kim's passport.

Previously, prosecutors had arrested other associates who helped Kim Bonghyun evade capture. However, regarding A, although prosecutors requested an arrest warrant, Judge Kwon Giman of the Seoul Southern District Court's warrant division dismissed it, stating that "necessary evidence has already been collected."
