[Asia Economy Reporter La Youngcheol] The Gangwon Tourism Foundation is operating a workation program called 'Commute to the Mountains, Return from the Sea in Sokcho.'

The program runs for four weeks from the 29th to the 23rd of next month (every Tuesday to Friday, 3 nights and 4 days), featuring accommodations close to bustling areas and shared workspaces with sea views within a one-minute walk.

To help workation participants focus on their tasks, the third floor of a caf? will be converted into a workspace.

Networking parties among participants and tours of Sokcho’s representative tourist spots such as the 'Seoraksan Cable Car Tour,' 'Sokcho Beach Sunrise,' and 'Night Sea Northern Walk' will also be offered.

Applications can be made through the Gangwon Workation website and the official Gangwon Workation Instagram account.

Choi Dongseok, head of the domestic marketing team, said, "We are looking forward to this workation program in Sokcho, where demand from companies and participants is highest," adding, "We plan to expand workation programs that capture the charm of each city in Gangwon Province."
