Establishment of a Support System Based on the Network of Foreign Missions and Related Organizations in Korea
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Cheol-hyun] The Korea Federation of Medium-sized Enterprises (hereinafter referred to as KFME) announced on the 28th that an online trade and commerce support center exclusively for medium-sized enterprises has been launched. KFME has established the 'Medium-sized Enterprises Trade and Commerce Support Center' on its website and has begun its regular operation.
The center was introduced to minimize management difficulties faced by medium-sized enterprises and to systematically support smooth entry into overseas markets in response to rapid changes in the trade and commerce environment, such as the diversification of global supply chains.
Through the center, KFME plans to identify and seek improvement measures for business difficulties of import and export medium-sized enterprises, such as responding to local regulations, hiring personnel, and securing distribution networks.
In addition, to enhance understanding of trade and commerce support policies, a medium-sized enterprises trade and commerce newsletter will be published to share related information, and the status of laws and systems applied to medium-sized enterprises in various countries will be continuously updated by utilizing the network of foreign embassies in Korea.
Kang Seung-ryong, Head of Communications at KFME, stated, "We will continuously collect and database the difficulties faced by medium-sized enterprises in each target country, actively gather opinions on unexpected urgent trade issues, and strengthen communication with relevant ministries to ensure effective countermeasures are prepared."
