Consumer AS Satisfaction No.1 'Renault Korea Motors'

[Asia Economy Reporter Kiho Sung] Renault Korea Motors has firmly maintained the No. 1 position in the automobile AS sector for six consecutive years until last year in the annual survey conducted by Consumer Insight. Renault Korea plans to become a brand truly recognized by consumers through trusted service.


According to related industries on the 28th, last year Consumer Insight's survey showed that the average score for domestic automobile brands was 805 points. In contrast, Renault Korea scored 823 points, 18 points higher. The revisit rate to service centers is also at the highest level. In the survey conducted this year, Renault Korea ranked first among domestic car brands in initial quality within six months after purchasing a new car, according to the 2022 initial quality survey results.


Consumer Insight conducts and publishes an annual automobile planning survey targeting 100,000 car buyers each year. In the evaluation comparing the number of problems per 100 new cars (PPH) by brand, Renault Korea received 85 PPH this year, a 29% improvement from 120 PPH last year, ranking first among domestic cars. A lower PPH number means fewer problems.


Renault Korea's major sales models such as QM6, SM6, and XM3 received higher scores than competing models in body/paint, powertrain, steering, noise, and brake evaluation categories. The Renault Korea Busan plant conducts a seven-step inspection process during production to ensure no vehicles with quality issues are shipped, delivering only vehicles that have passed quality inspections at least three times at each stage. To manage the quality of parts from partner companies, risk-prone suppliers are separately selected and regularly audited, dedicating utmost effort to quality control.


Renault Korea was the first in the domestic automobile industry to introduce a fixed-price system for major consumables. This guarantees clear and transparent pricing for major maintenance and repair work. Standard maintenance times are also transparently disclosed for accurate prior estimates. Working times, which can vary depending on various situations and environments, were jointly researched with the Korea Insurance Development Institute's Automotive Technology Research Center to calculate times as realistically as possible.

During this process, the estimated maintenance cost can also be checked, completely alleviating concerns about expenses. The fact that there is a network of 415 service centers nationwide reachable within 30 minutes reassures customers. No matter when or where a car problem occurs, fast and reliable service can be received, providing peace of mind.


Of course, no matter how good the service is, it is better to visit service centers less frequently. The best service for customers is to operate their cars without any issues or accidents while only replacing consumables. Renault Korea manufactures cars at the Busan plant, which strictly manages production quality, and supplies them domestically. Confidence in quality is demonstrated through the Happy Care extended warranty program.


This service product allows the warranty repair period to be extended up to 7 years/140,000 km and repairs are done under the same conditions as the new car warranty. It is a valuable product with no deductible or repair limits. Additionally, if a car with an unexpired Happy Care program is traded as a used car, the remaining warranty period is transferred to the buyer. This service cannot be implemented without confidence in quality.


Meanwhile, Renault Korea also provides free towing service for accident vehicles. Regardless of the accident, contacting the Renault Korea Angel Center allows customers to use the free towing service.
