Online Citizen Proposal Platform Name Change Preference Survey from the 28th to December 11th

[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Cheol-young] Following the brand I·SEOUL·U created during former Seoul Mayor Park Won-soon's administration, the name of the citizen proposal online platform 'Democracy Seoul' will also be changed.

On the 28th, the Seoul Metropolitan Government announced that it will conduct a citizen preference survey to decide on a new name for the citizen proposal platform 'Democracy Seoul.' Opened in October 2017 during former Mayor Park's tenure, Democracy Seoul is a platform where citizens can propose policies and participate in various surveys.

'Democracy Seoul' is a communication channel based on 'Cheonman Sangsang Oasis,' a citizen proposal site launched by Seoul City in 2006. Former Mayor Park played a role in developing citizens' creative proposals and reflecting them in policies.

Keeping in mind the active citizen proposals during the Cheonman Sangsang Oasis period, Seoul City prepared four new name candidates that embody the will to reflect citizens' creative imagination in policies: ▲ Sangsangdaero Seoul ▲ Seoul Sangsangmaru ▲ Seoul Sangsangtongtong ▲ Cheonman Sangsang Balyeondae.

Seoul City plans to select the new name through a citizen preference survey, employee voting, and expert evaluation, and apply it along with platform function improvements by January next year.
