[Asia Economy Culture Young Intern Reporter] Reports have emerged that Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman will gift each member of the national team a Rolls-Royce car after their 2-1 victory over Argentina in the 2022 Qatar World Cup. The price of the vehicle is known to be around 1.3 billion KRW. However, there has been no official announcement from bin Salman’s side regarding the Rolls-Royce reward.

It added, "Saudi Arabia’s Mohammed bin Salman Crown Prince will provide each player with an RM6 million Rolls-Royce Phantom."
The media noted, "This is not the first time a Saudi royal has gifted a Rolls-Royce to a football player; Al-Owairan, who scored one of the best goals in the World Cup against Belgium in 1994, received a similar gift."
Domestically, rumors circulated that "bin Salman promised a reward of 540 billion KRW for Saudi’s advancement to the round of 16, amounting to 19 billion KRW per person." However, this information has not been verified.
Saudi Arabia was considered one of the weakest teams but defied all expectations by achieving a 2-1 comeback victory against favored Argentina in Group C’s first match held on the 22nd (Korean time) at Lusail Stadium in Qatar.
Meanwhile, following the dramatic win, Saudi King Salman declared a temporary public holiday to celebrate the Saudi national team’s remarkable victory. Images were also reported showing Crown Prince bin Salman embracing his family in joy.
