On the 25th, the provincial police agency decided to send response teams to areas of concern for illegal activities such as Jinhae New Port and Busan New Port in order to track down and arrest those committing illegal acts related to the collective transportation refusal.
The Night Special Field Response Team is composed of the provincial police agency's metropolitan investigation unit, police station criminal investigation teams, traffic police, and intelligence police.
They will arrest or pursue and apprehend perpetrators of illegal acts such as assaulting transport drivers and damaging vehicles on site.
Chief Kim Byung-su, who inspected the response situation at sites including Jinhae New Port that day, instructed, "Strictly respond to illegal acts according to law and principles."
The provincial police agency stated that since the start of the general strike on the 24th, over 1,100 police officers from four standing units, criminal investigation, and traffic divisions have been deployed to the site over two days.
They plan to thoroughly track and legally prosecute illegal acts occurring during the Cargo Solidarity collective transportation refusal period.
