[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Heo Seon-sik] Yeosu Gwangyang Port Authority (President Park Seong-hyun, YGPA) announced on the 24th that President Park Seong-hyun and Labor Union Chairman Nam Cheol-hee attended and signed a 'Labor-Management Safety and Win-Win Agreement.'
The agreement was established to prioritize building a safe port, securing the lives and safety of the public and port workers, and strengthening the labor-management safety cooperation system.
According to the agreement, YGPA labor and management will work together to eliminate hazardous risk factors and mutually cooperate to spread a safety and health-first culture to create a safe and healthy port workplace.
In particular, to proactively respond to the 'Serious Accident Punishment Act' and the 'Port Safety Special Act' enacted this year, labor and management agreed to make their best efforts together in spreading safety culture through expert-invited training, port site safety inspections, the formation and operation of a joint port safety council involving the public, private, port industry, and organizations, and the Port Safety Culture Week campaign.
President Park Seong-hyun said, "Through this agreement, we will establish an organic cooperation system between labor and management," adding, "We will work with one heart and one mind to realize a port with ZERO serious accidents and ZERO safety incidents."
