[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Hyung-min] Between the night of the 25th and the early morning of the 26th, rain will fall and then stop in the central region and Jeonbuk, followed by a cold wave spreading nationwide from the daytime of the 26th.

Starting from late afternoon on the 25th, rain will begin in northern Gyeonggi and northwestern Gangwon Yeongseo, expanding at night to the Seoul metropolitan area, Gangwon Yeongseo, and northern Chungnam, and by early morning on the 26th to southern Gyeonggi, central and southern Gangwon Yeongseo, Chungcheong, and Jeonbuk.

Between dawn and morning on the 26th, raindrops?not quite rain?may fall in Jeonnam, inland Gyeongbuk, and northwestern inland Gyeongnam. The rain cloud band will pass quickly, so the precipitation duration will be short and the amount will be small, around 5mm. However, gusty winds, thunder, and lightning may occur during the rainfall.

In particular, northern Gyeonggi and northwestern Gangwon Yeongseo may experience sleet hail with diameters of about 2 to 4mm, so precautions are necessary.

Until the morning of Saturday the 26th, temperatures will be higher than the average for this time of year. After the rain stops, cold air will move southward from the northwest, causing temperatures to drop and return to average levels around 10 degrees Celsius, mainly in the central region during the daytime on the 26th.

The lowest temperatures on the morning of the 26th are expected to be between 3 and 12 degrees Celsius, and the highest daytime temperatures will drop by 4 to 9 degrees compared to the 25th (which ranged from 14 to 22 degrees), falling to between 5 and 19 degrees Celsius.

Expected minimum and maximum temperatures for major cities are: Seoul and Incheon 6°C and 8°C, Daejeon 7°C and 12°C, Gwangju 8°C and 15°C, Daegu 7°C and 15°C, Ulsan 9°C and 17°C, and Busan 12°C and 19°C.

Due to the influence of yellow dust originating from the Gobi Desert and the Inner Mongolian Plateau, fine dust levels in the Seoul metropolitan area and Chungcheong in the morning, and Honam in the afternoon on the 26th, may temporarily reach 'bad' levels.

On Sunday the 27th, morning temperatures will drop by about 10 degrees compared to the 26th, falling below freezing in most areas. The lowest temperatures on the morning of the 27th are expected to range from -7°C to 5°C, and the highest daytime temperatures will be between 9°C and 17°C. Seoul, Daejeon, and Daegu will experience subzero temperatures in the morning.

Minimum and maximum temperatures for major cities on the 27th are: Seoul -1°C and 11°C, Incheon 0°C and 10°C, Daejeon -2°C and 14°C, Gwangju 2°C and 17°C, Daegu -1°C and 15°C, Ulsan 2°C and 15°C, and Busan 5°C and 17°C.
