Yeouido Full Gospel Church Delivers 23,000 Hope Boxes to Neighbors in Need

Deliver 23,000 Hope Boxes Containing Relief Supplies to Neighbors in Need

[Asia Economy Reporter Seomideum] Yoido Full Gospel Church held the '2022 Love Hope Box Boxing Day' and delivered 23,000 hope boxes containing relief supplies to neighbors in need. The international relief NGO Good People, Seoul City, and CJ CheilJedang joined forces.

Senior Pastor Lee Young-hoon of Yoido Full Gospel Church said, “Love grows the more it is shared. I hope this love spreads throughout every corner of our country,” and added, “We will continue to make practical efforts to help neighbors in need together with Good People during this year-end and New Year season.”

Seoul Mayor Oh Se-hoon said, “I am grateful that Boxing Day is held consistently at a time when love is desperately needed. I hope that marginalized neighbors will not have a hard time this winter,” and expressed thanks to Yoido Full Gospel Church, Good People, and CJ CheilJedang for providing supplies.

Since 2012, Yoido Full Gospel Church has been helping neighbors in need such as low-income families, elderly living alone, and multicultural families by packing daily necessities and food into 'Love Hope Boxes.' So far, they have supported 215,909 people with Love Hope Boxes worth 19.9 billion KRW, and with this Boxing Day event, the cumulative support amount surpassed 22.4 billion KRW.

Attendees at the event included Pastor Lee Young-hoon, Seoul Mayor Oh Se-hoon, Good People Chairman Choi Kyung-bae, Secretary General of the Salvation Army Korea Headquarters, CEO Kim Myung-jeon of Christian Gospel Broadcasting, Chairman Kim Cheon-su of Yoido Full Gospel Church Elders Association, Chairman Kim Hyun-hoon of Seoul Social Welfare Council, former Minister of Health and Welfare Kim Sung-i, and CJ CheilJedang Division Head Park Chung-il.
