[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Cheol-hyun] The Small and Medium Business Corporation (Chairman Kim Hak-do, hereinafter referred to as SBC) announced on the 27th that it held the 2nd Training Project Advisory Committee on the 23rd at the Global Youth Startup Academy in Guro-gu, Seoul.

In the first half of this year, SBC established an advisory committee composed of 18 internal and external experts, including government officials, professors, and entrepreneurs, to innovate the training project. At the meeting, the committee discussed ▲ the operational direction of the training project for next year ▲ the performance and plans of the K Entrepreneurship Center ▲ and measures to advance smart manufacturing workforce training.

The advisory committee members agreed that amid the challenging domestic and international environment caused by the major economic and industrial structural transformation and the increase in global economic uncertainties due to the three highs (high inflation, high interest rates, and high exchange rates), operating education programs tailored to field demand is essential for developing human resources, which are the core of corporate competitiveness.

Additionally, it was suggested that SBC operate educational courses tailored to regional key industries and specialized industries through its six training centers nationwide, and that credible national qualification systems are necessary to foster smart manufacturing personnel in preparation for the Fourth Industrial Revolution.

Jo Han-gyo, Head of the Job Division at SBC, said, "SBC has been operating various training courses to strengthen the capabilities of employees in small and medium venture companies to enhance corporate competitiveness," adding, "We will actively reflect diverse opinions in future training project operations to support small and medium venture companies in wisely overcoming difficult management environments."
