[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Ji-eun] Jeong Jin-seok, Emergency Response Committee Chairman of the People Power Party, responded strongly to Kim Yo-jong, Deputy Director of the North Korean Workers' Party, saying that the Yoon Suk-yeol administration "will not kneel to blackmail" regarding her 'Seoul target' remarks.

At the Emergency Response Committee meeting at the National Assembly on the morning of the 24th, Chairman Jeong said, "North Korea's nuclear missiles are openly threatening the capital of the Republic of Korea, Seoul, revealing a blatant military threat."

He also referred to the Moon Jae-in administration's emphasis on Kim Jong-un, General Secretary of the North Korean Workers' Party's 'denuclearization will,' calling it a "public peace fraud show," and raised his voice, asking, "Why does former President Moon not make any protest against Kim Jong-un's scam and blatant lies?"

Chairman Jeong also targeted former President Moon through his social network service (SNS) on the 22nd.
