Geochang-gun and Vatech Networks Sign Business Agreement... I-eum Project Kicks Off Geochang-gun, Gyeongnam Province, and Vatech Networks signed a business agreement to promote the Ieum Project.

[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Choi Soon-kyung] On the 23rd, Geochang-gun, Gyeongnam Province, held a business agreement ceremony in the county office situation room to promote the Win-Win Project called the Ieum Project, attended by County Governor Goo In-mo and Batek Networks Chairman Noh Chang-jun, officially launching the project.

Batek Networks, a leading global healthcare company specializing in dental X-ray diagnostic equipment and a mid-sized enterprise, is expected to contribute to new job creation and revitalization of the local economy through this agreement.

The Ieum Project is a win-win business between Geochang-gun and Batek, including resort construction to meet the demand of stay-type tourists, agricultural product distribution and catering to expand sales channels for local agricultural products and support premium meal services, and a nondestructive inspection business that detects invisible micro-cracks for regular elevator inspections and defect detection.

In particular, the resort is expected to become a new landmark and respond to the tourism demand of Geochang-gun, which is emerging as a healing stay-type tourist destination. Collaboration in agricultural product distribution catering and elevator nondestructive inspection markets is anticipated to create synergy with local key industries such as the elevator industry, serving as a model case of win-win cooperation between the region and companies.

Chairman Noh said, “I am very pleased to participate in this meaningful project. We will do our best to contribute to Geochang-gun through the promotion of cooperative projects for coexistence and mutual growth.”

Governor Goo stated, “With the agreement with Batek Networks, a solid mid-sized enterprise group, we have taken a new step toward a greater leap for Geochang, and we will seek cooperation plans to achieve mutual growth.”

Batek Networks is a mid-sized enterprise group with consolidated sales of 412.8 billion KRW in 2021, 1,400 employees, and eight subsidiaries including Batek and Rayence, both listed on KOSDAQ. It has a global network with 26 overseas subsidiaries and dealerships in 100 countries.
