BPA President Kang Joon-seok is inspecting the Gamcheon Port operation site on the 23rd in preparation for the Cargo Solidarity strike.

[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Yong-woo] On the 23rd, as the Cargo Solidarity Union strike entered its final countdown, Kang Joon-seok, president of Busan Port Authority (BPA), inspected the cargo handling site at Gamcheon Port to proactively address the logistics crisis. The Cargo Solidarity Union has announced a strike starting from the following day, the 24th.

President Kang also checked the situation at the Jungang Pier site to ensure the normal import and export of major heavy cargoes handled at Gamcheon Port, such as steel materials, metals, and construction materials.

He toured the additional safety passage construction area within the eastern pier of Gamcheon Port to ensure safe movement for users. He also inspected security measures to prevent illegal entry of foreign crew members aboard the mackerel pike fishing vessels currently docked.

President Kang urged thorough preparation in cooperation with related agencies to prevent citizen inconvenience and safety accidents, as traffic around the roads near Gamcheon Port is congested.
