Enverworld Awarded 'Social Contribution Grand Prize' for Blockchain Innovation Technology Contributing to Society

On the 19th, at the social contribution awards ceremony held on the 4th floor of the Korea Publishing Culture Center, blockchain innovation company NvirWorld received the Social Contribution Grand Prize.

Through the "Dokdo is Korean Territory" campaign, NvirWorld auctioned the NFT artwork "Dokdo Korea (대한민국 독도)," a donation piece by Lee Beom-heon, chairman of the Korea Federation of Artistic and Cultural Organizations (hereafter ‘Korea Federation’). The entire winning bid amount of 18.1 ETH (approximately 68,653,300 KRW at the time of auction close) was donated to the Korea Dokdo Association and two organizations: the Dokdo Protection International Solidarity and Dokdo Academy. Additionally, through UNICEF support projects, they sponsored children in Afghanistan and Haiti, donating a total of $146,144 (approximately 171,880,000 KRW).

Notably, the "Dokdo is Korean Territory" campaign was a public participation initiative. To commemorate Liberation Day, from July 1 to August 15, 2021, over 800,000 votes were cast by the public worldwide via SNS channels to select heroes who have brought honor to Korea. The top five heroes selected were Lim Young-woong in first place, Kim Ho-joong second, Lee Chan-won third, Young Tak fourth, and BTS (Bangtan Sonyeondan) fifth, which became a hot topic.

Jin-sook Lee, CEO of NvirWorld, expressed her thoughts on receiving the Social Contribution Grand Prize: "We plan to continuously conduct public interest campaigns utilizing blockchain-related technologies to contribute to the establishment of blockchain technology and industry as a positive social function. We will continue to lead efforts to raise awareness of blockchain by contributing to society."

Meanwhile, NvirWorld recently signed an MOU with World Vision to develop a blockchain mainnet using CBDC patent technology. This development aims to transparently disclose donation-related information and enable remittances and payments even in situations where the network is not supported. This expands CRS activities by providing an economic foundation in countries with poor network environments or where opening bank accounts is difficult.
