There is not much time left in 2022. The approaching Christmas is delightful, and thinking about the year-end party with friends brings a smile to my face. Although I am full of excitement, I am still not used to the idea of turning +1 year older. There was a time when I shouted that I wanted to become an adult, but now I feel a sense of doubt, as if I am neither an adult nor a child.
Still, since this is the year-end of 2022 only once, I decided to enjoy the moment. Unlike last year’s year-end, I wanted to enjoy it safely yet with a good atmosphere this year. As an adult, I want to imitate adulthood by going to a restaurant that captures not only taste but also ambiance. I will introduce three restaurants where you can enjoy this year-end with a glass of wine and a view as your side dish. Reservations are a must, so don’t forget!
VIPS Premier (Mokdong 41 Tower Branch & Jeju Branch)
If you usually visit VIPS on important days, pay attention. This is not a regular VIPS but a premium branch, and there is a place where you can overlook the Seoul skyline at a glance. VIPS Premier is a ‘premium steak dining’ concept where you can enjoy top-quality steaks of Black Angus grilled on a woodfire grill along with a premium salad bar. The place we should focus on is the Mokdong 41 Tower branch located on the top floor, the 41st floor, of Mokdong 41 Tower in Seoul. It features special seating for two people where you can sit and dine while looking at the Seoul view. If you want to see the Seoul night view, don’t hesitate to visit here. For reference, a VIPS Premier branch has also opened on the 9th floor of Jeju DJ Tower, where you can dine with Jeju Island as your backdrop.

Texas de Brazil
Although you cannot see a city view or ocean view, you can enjoy the taste of top-quality meat. Texas de Brazil is a Brazilian churrasco house enjoyed with intense samba rhythms, currently available only at Central City and Apgujeong branches. On weekday lunches, you can enjoy 9 types of authentic Brazilian churrasco steaks, and on weekday dinners and holidays, 15 types, along with over 50 kinds of salads. A unique service feature is that staff carry large skewers with arm-sized meat directly to customers’ tables and carve the steak for them. You can enjoy unlimited servings of various cuts of beef, pork, lamb, and chicken.

Located on the 52nd floor, you can take in a panoramic view of Seoul including the Lotte Tower view. Various seafood, meats, fruits, and desserts are prepared. You can also enjoy kushikatsu, which is fried immediately after selecting fresh ingredients. Since it operates on a time-based reservation system, the food prepared for that time may run out, so it is best to hurry. Especially, make sure to get fruits and desserts in advance. You need to get your money’s worth. Note that the price per person is 200 USD, and the amount varies depending on the exchange rate on the day of your visit. Payment in dollars is also accepted. Usage time is limited to 3 hours on weekdays and 2 hours on weekends, so please keep that in mind. This place operates as a no-kids zone.
