15% Discount on KakaoPay Payments Over 50,000 KRW at iHerb
'Daily Deal Event' Featuring iHerb PB Products at Up to 30% Off
[Asia Economy Reporter Yuri Kim] iHerb announced on the 18th that it will hold a Black Friday big sale in collaboration with KakaoPay. This event, running until the 30th of this month, offers a 15% discount when paying 50,000 KRW or more with KakaoPay on iHerb.
By entering the discount code in the shopping cart, the offer can be used once per KakaoPay ID. The discount is based on the amount per transaction, not the total shopping amount during the event period, and applies only to orders shipped to South Korea.
KakaoPay recorded 38.48 million members as of September this year, with a monthly active user (MAU) count of 22.98 million, making it Korea's leading simple payment service. When using iHerb, after the initial one-time consent procedure, KakaoPay can be added as a payment method, and subsequent payments can be made without additional authentication using the registered KakaoPay account. All payment details can be checked in real-time via the KakaoPay application or KakaoTalk.
iHerb explained, "We have consistently pursued a high-level localization strategy to enhance Korean consumers' satisfaction." In addition to iHerb's infrastructure such as Korean language support and KRW display, Korean language customer service, 72-hour delivery system, and the launch of a Korea-exclusive shopping app, it has secured all three major domestic simple payment services?KakaoPay, Naver Pay, and Payco?as of July this year.
Choi Ji-yeon, head of iHerb Korea, said, "To celebrate the biggest global retail event, Black Friday sale, we have prepared a special event for Korean customers in collaboration with KakaoPay," adding, "We plan to introduce more diverse promotions to provide domestic consumers with a more convenient and differentiated overseas direct purchase experience."
Meanwhile, iHerb is also holding a 'Daily Deal Event' until the 30th. It offers iHerb's private brand (PB) products, including bestsellers from the first half of this year, at discounts of up to 30%. Customers can find different discounted products daily, including supplements, natural herbs, vitamins, eye health supplements, collagen, antioxidants, beauty, skincare, groceries, baby products, and pet-related items.
