Gwangju Seo-gu Family Center Selected as an Excellent Family Counseling Institution...The Only One in Gwangju

[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Shin Dong-ho] The Seo-gu Family Center in Gwangju Metropolitan City (Director Yoon Ok-hee) announced on the 17th that it was the only institution in Gwangju selected as an 'Excellent Family Counseling Institution of 2022' by the Korea Healthy Family Promotion Agency on the 15th.

The 'Excellent Family Counseling Institutions' announced this year were selected based on the ratio of family counseling users by population among family centers nationwide.

The selection was made through expert evaluations on counseling project operation environment, fulfillment of qualifications for family counseling professionals, management of counseling waitlists, and project performance.

The Seo-gu Family Center received high marks for supporting customized counseling tailored to the local community through analysis of various conflicts and problem situations within families and gathering residents' opinions, and was included among 30 excellent family counseling institutions out of 224 family centers nationwide.

Yoon Ok-hee, director of the Seo-gu Family Center, said, "We are pleased to receive high recognition as a specialized family counseling institution through this certification," and added, "We will continue to provide high-quality family counseling to residents by strengthening the expertise of counseling professionals."

Meanwhile, Seo-gu is striving to create an environment for high-quality counseling through capacity-building education for family counseling experts and case meetings centered on the family center.
