Changwon City Daycare Center Association, Promoting Unity and Solidarity Among Childcare Staff Changwon Special City in Gyeongnam held the "Changwon City Daycare Center Association Childcare Staff Unity Event and Cultural Concert."

[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Song Jong-gu] Changwon Special City in Gyeongnam held the ‘Changwon City Daycare Center Association Childcare Staff Unity Festival and Cultural Concert’ on the 16th, attended by about 970 childcare staff members.


The Childcare Staff Unity Festival of the Changwon City Daycare Center Association is an annual event held to promote harmony and unity among daycare workers from five types: national/public, corporate, private, home-based, and workplace daycare centers. This year, it was held in person for the first time in three years due to COVID-19, prepared to express gratitude for the dedication of childcare staff who quietly fulfill their responsibilities in the childcare field.


The event proceeded in the order of entrance of participants by the five types, opening remarks, congratulatory speeches, presentation of appreciation plaques, commendation plaques, and a cultural concert.


An Kyung-won, the first deputy mayor of Changwon City, said, “Thanks to the hard work of the childcare staff gathered here today, our hope?the children?have been able to grow into healthy members of society,” adding, “The city will also appreciate their efforts and strive to create a childcare environment where staff can work joyfully with a sense of mission in their profession as childcare teachers, including support for staff rest vacations.”


Currently, Changwon City has 6,257 childcare staff working at 697 daycare centers.
