They urged, "Going forward, as a regional hometown bank, it should focus on playing a leading role in revitalizing the regional economy and strengthening competitiveness by leading the digitalization and globalization of finance."
In particular, they emphasized that "based on the management philosophy of ‘coexistence with the region and walking together with local residents,’ the bank will grow as the closest bank to the local people by fulfilling corporate social responsibility in various fields such as financial support and social contribution activities."
Gwangju Bank President Song Jong-wook said, "We will further solidify the status as the representative bank of Gwangju and Jeonnam, and all executives and employees will do their best with one heart and one mind to grow into a 100-year bank that is most loved and trusted by local residents and customers."
