Every Second Counts... Gwangju Police's Emergency Transport Operation for Exam Students

[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Jin-hyung] On the day of the 2023 College Scholastic Ability Test, the Gwangju Police provided emergency transportation to 10 examinees who were at risk of being late.


The Gwangju Metropolitan Police Agency and the Autonomous Police Committee deployed traffic police, riot police, and exemplary drivers at 66 locations including examinee routes and test sites from 6:00 AM to 8:10 AM to conduct special traffic management.


In particular, around 7:54 AM, about 10 minutes before the entrance time, an examinee who mistakenly got off at Sotae Station in Dong-gu, Gwangju, was given a ride by patrol car to Seolwol Girls' High School in Nam-gu.


At around 7:51 AM, an examinee who requested help in Hanam-dong, Gwangsan-gu was transported by patrol car to Unnam High School.


Convenience was also provided for examinees who went to the wrong test site.


At around 7:50 AM, two examinees were supported in total, including one who arrived mistakenly at Seoksan High School in Baegun-dong, Nam-gu, and was transported by patrol car to Seoseok High School in Seo-gu.


The examinees expressed their gratitude, saying, "Thanks to the help of the police officers, we were able to take the exam safely."
