[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Yoon Jamin] The 2023 College Scholastic Ability Test was held simultaneously nationwide on the 17th, with 111 COVID-19 positive examinees recorded in the Gwangju and Jeonnam regions.
According to the Gwangju Metropolitan Office of Education and Jeonnam Provincial Office of Education, 69 examinees in Gwangju and 42 in Jeonnam took the exam at separate testing sites due to COVID-19 infection.
In Gwangju, the COVID-19 positive examinees took the exam at two locations, Inseong High School and Sungdeok High School, while in Jeonnam, they took the exam at separate testing sites set up in seven locations: Mokpo, Yeosu, Suncheon, Naju, Gwangyang, Damyang, and Haenam.
At the testing sites, the number of students per classroom was limited to four, seated at 2-meter intervals. During lunch breaks, paper partitions were installed on three sides.
Additionally, medical staff were stationed on-site in case of emergencies.
