KeyEast Signs Directing Contract with PD Yuseon Dong of "The Uncanny Counter"

[Asia Economy Reporter Jang Hyowon] Comprehensive entertainment company KeyEast is strengthening its drama production business by recruiting a ‘star PD’.

On the 16th, KeyEast announced that it had signed a directing contract with producer (PD) Yoo Seon-dong of ‘The Uncanny Counter’.

PD Yoo Seon-dong, a film director and writer, has directed various mega-hit dramas including ‘The Uncanny Counter’, ‘Bad and Crazy’, and ‘Vampire Prosecutor Season 2’. In particular, ‘The Uncanny Counter’, which ended in January last year, recorded OCN’s highest-ever viewership rating of 11%. PD Yoo is directing ‘The Uncanny Counter Season 2’, scheduled to air on tvN next year.

A KeyEast official said, “With the popularity of K-content, the number of productions by domestic production companies is expected to increase significantly next year compared to this year. With the addition of PD Yoo Seon-dong, who is recognized for his outstanding directing skills in the unique Korean-style superhero genre, we will be able to further enhance our in-house content production capabilities and competitiveness.”

He added, “We plan to work with PD Yoo Seon-dong on his next project after ‘The Uncanny Counter Season 2’, which is currently being filmed.”

Meanwhile, KeyEast is actively producing numerous dramas, including the major drama ‘Ask the Stars’, ‘Illumination’, and ‘No Secrets’, all scheduled for release next year.
