Goseong-gun Conducts Civil Defense Drill at Danghangpo Tourist Site

Goseong-gun, Gyeongnam conducted a 2022 provincial-level civil defense drill at Danghangpo Tourist Site.

[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Song Jong-gu] Goseong-gun, Gyeongnam Province, conducted the 2022 provincial-level civil defense drill on the 15th at Danghangpo Tourist Site in Hoihwa-myeon.

This drill focused on life-saving, fire suppression, and recovery training in the event of a bomb terror attack and fire within exhibition facilities. It was carried out with an emphasis on enhancing rapid joint response capabilities in emergency situations and maintaining close cooperation among related agencies.

On the day of the drill, about 280 personnel from 15 organizations and groups, including Goseong-gun, the 2nd Battalion of the 8358th Unit, Goseong Police Station, and Goseong Fire Station, participated. The trainees performed detailed tasks in areas such as explosion caused by terror, fire suppression, emergency treatment, and recovery in a well-coordinated manner, closely resembling real situations.

County Governor Lee Sang-geun said, “Training to prepare for security threats such as North Korean missile launches and various safety accidents like the Itaewon incident is essential for the residents.”
