Yeongyang-gun Hosts 'Farmers' Association Harmony One-Heart Festival'... A Gathering for Unity Among Four Farmers' Groups

[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Gwiyeol] Yeongyang-gun, Gyeongbuk Province, hosted the '2022 Agricultural Organizations Harmony One-Heart Festival' on the morning of the 15th at 10 a.m. at Yeongyang-gun Public Stadium, organized by the Korea Life Improvement Yeongyang-gun Federation (President An Gwiyoung). The event was attended by about 700 participants, including Yeongyang-gun Governor O Dochang, distinguished guests, and members of agricultural organizations.

This event aims to promote harmony among the four core agricultural organizations (Life Improvement Association, Rural Leaders Association, Agricultural Entrepreneurs Association, and Women Farmers Association), revitalize the organizations, and invigorate the local rural community.

The event began with a "Pungmul performance" by Ilwol-myeon, followed by an opening ceremony, commendations for meritorious persons, cheerful sports competitions, and a singing contest by town and township.

An Gwiyoung, president of the Korea Life Improvement Yeongyang-gun Federation, said, "I am glad that farmers could gather in one place to harmonize, escaping their busy daily lives," and added, "I hope today will be a time to relieve stress and recharge."

Governor O Dochang said in his congratulatory speech, "The development of Yeongyang-gun is only possible with the development of agriculture, and we will prioritize the agricultural sector to achieve a profitable agricultural era," and urged, "As the four agricultural organizations are key players in our county, I hope you will strengthen harmony and play a leading role so that both agriculture and rural areas can develop."
