Vaccine Safety Technology Support Center Supporting 'Vaccine Sovereignty' Opens on the 10th

[Asia Economy Reporter Byeon Seon-jin] The Ministry of Food and Drug Safety will hold an opening ceremony for the 'Vaccine Safety Technology Support Center (Vaccine Center)' on the 10th, which systematically supports the technology necessary for the rapid development and commercialization of domestic vaccines. The Vaccine Center was built in the Hwasun Vaccine Special Zone, Hwasun-gun, Jeollanam-do, with a total area of 4,335㎡ and two basement floors.

The Vaccine Center will carry out tasks such as ▲ analysis of clinical trial specimens for vaccines ▲ vaccine quality inspection ▲ distribution and management of cell lines for vaccine production ▲ one-on-one customized product commercialization consulting ▲ providing information on domestic and international vaccine development trends. A practical professional education facility will also be established to train vaccine specialists, and it plans to actively support the overseas expansion of domestic vaccines.

The Ministry of Food and Drug Safety stated, "We expect the Vaccine Center to contribute to securing vaccine sovereignty, and we will continue to do our best to support South Korea in establishing itself as a global leader in vaccines."
