Promotion and Sale of Excellent Agricultural Specialties and Processed Products by Small-Scale Farmers

[Gurye=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Yuk Miseok] Jeollanam-do Gurye-gun (Governor Kim Sun-ho) announced that from the 2nd for four days, at the 8th Small but Strong Farmers Expo 2022 held at COEX in Seoul, small but strong farmers from Gurye-gun actively promoted their products.

The Small but Strong Farmers Expo, hosted and organized by the Rural Development Administration, is an event where small but strong farmers showcase their capabilities and excellent agricultural products. Through the Small but Strong Farmers training conducted by the Gurye-gun Agricultural Technology Center, they practiced management improvements and exhibited and sold products that achieved high profits based on ideas and technical skills.

Representing Gurye’s small but strong farmers, Gurye Samchon (CEO Lee Myung-yeop) and Boknaerineun Dangsannamu (CEO Kim Sang-su) participated in the event.

These farms participated in the trend agricultural food sector, presenting directly produced agricultural and specialty products such as Ssukbuchaengi muffins and cookies, nutritious vegetable bibimbap, and gimbugak, along with various processed products, expanding empathy with urban consumers and promoting the gradually developing agriculture of Gurye.

Governor Kim Sun-ho said, “Through this Small but Strong Farmers Expo, I hope that the excellent agricultural products of Gurye-gun’s small but strong farmers will be widely known and serve as an opportunity to increase income. Next year, at the Small but Strong Farmers Expo, we will nurture excellent small but strong farmers and autonomous groups to promote various agricultural products unique to Gurye-gun to more consumers.”
