[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Chunhan] Homeplus announced on the 9th that the number of orders for ‘Tonight Mart Direct Delivery,’ which delivers products before midnight on the same day, has increased by up to 73%, gaining great popularity.


According to Homeplus, sales from 2 PM to 7 PM at the five stores offering the Tonight Mart Direct Delivery service (Yeongdeungpo, Yeongtong, Chilgok, Suseong, Namhyeon) grew by 33% compared to the same period last year, and the number of orders increased by 47%.


In particular, Namhyeon store, which launched Tonight Mart Direct Delivery in September, saw sales surge by 65% and orders by 73%. The 20s and 30s age group accounts for 40%, showing a positive response from young one- and two-person households. Popular items include fresh foods such as fresh eggs, barley-fed pork belly, zucchini, as well as daily necessities like Homeplus Signature label-free clear spring water and Homeplus Signature wet tissues.


A Homeplus representative said, “Having confirmed customers’ trust in fresh foods such as livestock, fruits, and vegetables through our online delivery service, we will continue to actively reflect rapidly changing shopping trends and customer demands to expand our delivery service areas.”
