[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Koo Dae-sun] “A mural has been painted on the alley wall behind Keunjangnegeori. The alley has become bright and vibrant, widely promoting the joy of alley tourism.”
On the 3rd, mural work was completed in the alley behind Keunjangnegeori in Seo-gu, Daegu, transforming the old and dark alley environment into a cozy and beautiful urban space.
The 50-meter-long alley on both sides was filled with murals featuring bright and vivid colors and lively designs such as flowers, leaves, and birch trees, reminiscent of Dalseong Fortress Village, the representative image of Bisan 2 and 3-dong in Seo-gu, and the alley garden.
A resident living in the mural alley said, “The area around the alley was very old and gloomy, with frequent public urination and illegal dumping causing a constant foul smell, which was often unpleasant, and there were even concerns about crime. But since the mural was painted, I don’t know how much cleaner the environment has become.”
Lee Kyung-seok, head of Bisan 2 and 3-dong, said, “Along with the local attractions of Dalseong Fortress Village and the alley garden, another attraction has been created. I hope many people visit, take photos, and make memories.”
