According to AFP on the 2nd (local time), the English professional football team Tottenham announced that Son Heung-min collided strongly with the shoulder of Marseille's Chancel Mbemba while contesting an aerial ball in the 23rd minute of the first half during the 6th and final away match of Group D in the 2022-2023 UEFA Champions League (UCL) group stage held at Stade V?lodrome in Marseille, France, and collapsed.

Son Heung-min experienced bleeding from his nose, and the area around his nose and eyes swelled significantly.
