Hyosung Group marks its 56th anniversary on the 3rd. Considering the national mourning period due to the Itaewon tragedy, Hyosung decided not to hold any separate events.


According to Hyosung Group on the 2nd, Chairman Cho Hyun-joon stated in his anniversary message posted on the company bulletin board, "We must focus more on ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) management, which is becoming a new global management trend, and eco-friendly technological innovation," adding, "Companies that fail to contribute to humanity's future through eco-friendly technologies, products, and production processes will find it difficult to survive going forward."


He continued, "Recently, I have met many global clients and directly heard their stories, deeply sensing this paradigm shift," and urged, "We must quickly grasp these changes in customers through VOC (Voice of Customer) and actively reflect their evolving needs."


He strongly ordered that the voice of the customer be integrated into all business areas. Since his inauguration, Chairman Cho has emphasized that "the answer lies with the customer" and that "we must devote ourselves to VOC activities."


Regarding this, he said, "While this is somewhat implemented domestically, it is somewhat lacking in overseas operations," and added, "Since Hyosung is a global player operating worldwide, VOC collected from the global market must be shared across all organizations and roles must be allocated accordingly." Furthermore, he stated, "Through this, all Hyosung employees worldwide should move together with the same understanding and direction regarding VOC."


He also reiterated the importance of agility, which he emphasized in last year's 55th anniversary message. Chairman Cho said, "We are currently facing a great crisis due to drastic changes in the business environment," and added, "This crisis will eventually pass, and opportunities will come afterward." He continued, "Only those who are prepared can seize those opportunities," and added, "To be prepared, we must respond agilely with agility."
