Jin Byeong-yeong, the governor of Hamyang-gun, Gyeongnam, is visiting tenant companies in the agricultural and industrial complex and having a conversation.
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Choi Soon-kyung] Jin Byeong-yeong, the mayor of Hamyang-gun, Gyeongnam, visited local industrial complexes and agro-industrial complexes on October 31 and November 1 to have a communication session with resident companies.
This visit was arranged to review the operating conditions of local companies facing difficulties amid the aftermath of COVID-19 as well as the recent economic crisis caused by high inflation and high interest rates, and to listen to their grievances.
On that day, resident business owners requested attention to manpower shortages caused by population aging and youth outflow, as well as the lack of residential conditions, and asked for increased use of products from local agro-industrial complexes.
In response, Mayor Jin said, “We will carefully review the opinions heard on site and continue efforts to improve the competitiveness of resident companies as well as the development of industrial and agro-industrial complexes in Hamyang-gun,” adding, “I thank the company officials who are working hard to revitalize the local economy despite difficult conditions.”
Hamyang-gun plans to continue visiting industrial sites to listen to the difficulties and suggestions of companies until the difficult economic situation stabilizes.
