Pukyong National University Holds 'Youth Maritime Humanities Lecture' at Middle Schools The '2022 Youth Maritime Humanities Lecture' is currently underway.

[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Hwang Du-yeol] The Humanities Korea Plus (HK+) Project Group at Pukyong National University held the '2022 Youth Maritime Humanities Lecture' at Buhung Middle School (Haeundae, Busan) on the 24th and 27th of last month.


Under the theme "Career Talk on Marine Science and Industry!", this lecture was organized to connect the sea, a distinctive feature of the Busan region, with the humanities, providing local youth with an opportunity to deeply understand the sea and discover the future value of marine industry and marine science technology.


On the 24th, for students of the Buhung Middle School career club, Professor Kim Chan-hee and HK Research Professor Moon Hye-jin from Pukyong National University gave lectures titled "Easy-to-Understand Marine Fisheries Life Science, Preparing for the Future" and "Tourism and Processing Industry of East Coast Marine Products."


On the 27th, lectures were held by KIOST Policy Researcher Kwon Young-joo on "Challenges and Future of Marine Science," Professor Kim Hak-jun of Pukyong National University on "Marine Microplastics from the Perspective of Humanities and Marine Science," and Professor Kang Ho-young of Pusan National University on "Stories of Marine Organisms and Industry."


The Pukyong National University HK+ Project Group has been developing and providing various programs free of charge that combine the sea, a distinctive feature of the Busan region, with the humanities, such as youth maritime humanities.
