Busan Gijang-gun Holds Meeting with Author Eunyoung of This Year's Book 'The Seventh Yellow Bench'

[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Dongguk Lee] Busan Gijang-gun will host a meeting with the author Eunyoung, who wrote this year's Gijang-gun book "The Seventh Yellow Bench," on November 19th at 3 PM at the Jeonggwan Library Sodubang Children's Theater.

Selected as Gijang-gun's book of the year through a citizen vote last May, "The Seventh Yellow Bench" is a children's story about the protagonist "Jihu," who holds the sorrow of parting with his grandmother and heals his emotional wounds by forming new relationships at the seventh yellow bench in the neighborhood park.

This meeting with the author is themed "The Special Stories of Ordinary People Told by the Yellow Bench" and is divided into two parts: the first part is a lecture by the author, and the second part is a conversation with the author.

Those who wish to participate can apply through the Jeonggwan Library website starting from 10 AM on November 1st, and about 100 elementary school students and parents will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis.

The community reading campaign "Gijang, Meeting Children's Books: Gijang-gun's Book of the Year," which encourages the local community to read and participate together in one book, is engaging residents through various reading events such as reading relays and book report contests in addition to this meeting with the author.
