[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Hye-seon] LG Uplus announced on the 26th that it has produced a sign language version music video of the song "Muneo Song Part 2," created with its representative character "Muneo," to support the hearing impaired.
The Muneo Song Part 2 music video, released last August, features a bright melody and hopeful lyrics such as "I won't break down." It recorded 1 million views on YouTube within two months. The first Muneo Song, produced last year, recorded 5 million views on YouTube.
The sign language version music video of Muneo Song Part 2 was produced as part of the "Relay Sign Language Project," jointly conducted by the social welfare organization supporting the hearing impaired, Sarangui Dalpaengi, and the integrated advertising company Pentacle. A professional sign language interpreter from Sarangui Dalpaengi participated as a talent donor to enhance expertise.
The sign language version video will be uploaded not only on the official YouTube channels of LG Uplus, Sarangui Dalpaengi, and Pentacle but also on the social media (SNS) and YouTube channels of the Korea Association of Persons with Physical Disabilities, which has been carrying out social contribution projects with LG Uplus for 13 years. LG Uplus, together with the Korea Association of Persons with Physical Disabilities, selects adolescents from disabled families, accumulates scholarship funds monthly, and annually conducts the matching fund-type social contribution project "Dudream U+ Magic Account," which provides scholarships after five years.
