Gochang-gun, All-Out Effort for Attracting Businesses, Creating Jobs, and Supporting Small Business Owners

[Gochang=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Jae-gil] Shim Deok-seop, the governor of Gochang-gun, Jeonbuk, is making every effort to attract companies, create jobs, and support small business owners.

On the 26th, according to the county, the 'Gochang-gun Ordinance on the Establishment and Operation of the Small and Medium Enterprise Development Fund,' which includes expanding the loan purposes and limits of the local SME development fund and raising the interest subsidy rate, has been officially implemented.

Regarding the 'Interest Subsidy Support for SME Development Fund,' last year, loan interest support was provided for 12 billion KRW to 30 companies, drawing great response from businesses.

This year as well, the county plans to fully support stabilizing management by helping many companies with their fund operations.

At the same time, the county also revised the 'Gochang-gun Ordinance on Promotion of Corporate and Investment Attraction.'

This ordinance revision focuses on attracting leading eco-friendly ESG companies and creating jobs through an investment attraction policy that highlights Gochang's unique characteristics.

In the revised ordinance, the standards for investment subsidy support (such as minimum regular employment), special support standards for large-scale investment companies (investment amount and infrastructure installation costs), etc., have been relaxed, and the support ratio for facility investment subsidies has also increased.

Previously, the county has been proceeding with the renaming process of the Gochang General Industrial Complex to 'New Vitality Industrial Complex' to fully focus on attracting eco-friendly advanced future industry ESG companies.

Governor Shim Deok-seop said, "We will focus on creating a 'Gochang that is good for business' by discovering customized corporate support policies so that companies investing in the county and SMEs can settle well in the region and grow together."
