Gwangjin-gu Holds 'Cheongnyeom LIVE Concert' Pledging Integrity and Courtesy Integrity Pledge Ceremony

[Asia Economy Reporter Park Jong-il] Gwangjin-gu (Mayor Kim Kyung-ho) held a 'Integrity Live Concert' on the 25th at Naru Art Center to strengthen a clean and fair organizational culture.

Hosted by Gwangjin-gu and organized by the Anti-Corruption and Civil Rights Commission, this event was a large-scale integrity education attended by about 500 people including heads and staff from five related organizations: Gwangjin-gu Office, Gwangjin-gu Council, Gwangjin-gu Facilities Management Corporation, Gwangjin Cultural Foundation, and Gwangjin Welfare Foundation.

The event was composed of Part 1, the Integrity Practice Pledge Ceremony, and Part 2, the Integrity Live Concert, making the somewhat abstract and rigid theme of 'integrity' easy and enjoyable to understand through various cultural contents.

In Part 1, the Integrity Practice Pledge Ceremony, new employees read the pledge, and Mayor Kim Kyung-ho, along with deputy mayors and senior officials at the director level, promised steadfast integrity practice, opening the event with a commitment to integrity from all employees.

Part 2, the Integrity Live Concert, featured ▲ the integrity pansori 'Byeoljubu-jeon,' depicting the story of Byeoljubu, a turtle who is a civil servant dreaming of success in the Dragon Palace ▲ a special lecture on the Act on the Prevention of Conflict of Interest ▲ and a sand art performance of 'On a Starry Night,' the winning work of the integrity content contest, providing a time to reflect on the meaning of integrity that civil servants must uphold.

Mayor Kim Kyung-ho of Gwangjin-gu said, "I believe integrity and kindness are two sides of the same coin," adding, "We will continue to promote various integrity policies and make our best efforts to become a Gwangjin-gu trusted by residents through integrity and kindness."

In addition, starting with the Gwangjin-gu mayor, senior officials at grade 5 and above operate a 'Relay Empathy Integrity Broadcast,' where they read integrity messages they personally wrote during morning broadcasts, forming a consensus on integrity with employees and gaining positive responses.
