Doosan Bobcat Unveils Innovative Products Including Electric Excavators in European Market

[Asia Economy Reporter Oh Hyung-gil] Doosan Bobcat showcased new products including electric excavators at the world's largest construction equipment exhibition.

Doosan Bobcat announced on the 25th that it participated in the construction equipment exhibition 'Bauma 2022' held in Munich, Germany.

At the event, Doosan Bobcat held a launch event for a new 2-ton electric excavator (E19e). This is the second electric excavator following the 'E10e' unveiled at Bauma in 2019, and it has the same specifications and performance as the diesel model E19 of the same class. With a width of only 98 cm, it produces no exhaust and low noise, making it useful for indoor demolition and nighttime work. It can be used continuously for 3 hours and 30 minutes, and takes 2 hours to fully charge with ultra-fast charging.

Also attracting visitors' attention was the 'Quad Track Loader,' which moves on four continuous tracks instead of wheels. It is a Doosan Bobcat skid steer loader with wheels replaced by continuous tracks, which have a larger surface area, reducing ground pressure and minimizing surface damage while providing excellent traction on wet ground. This product won the Innovation Award in the mechanical engineering category at 'Bauma 2022.'

A Doosan Bobcat official explained, "While construction equipment with quad tracks has been released before, applying continuous tracks to a skid steer loader where the four wheels move independently front and back is the first in the industry," adding, "It can be easily switched back to wheels when needed for user convenience."

In addition, the largest and most powerful new models in the excavator and loader product lines, 'S86' and 'T86,' equipped with electronic hydraulic control, as well as telehandlers and Doosan Portable Power products, welcomed visitors.
