Business Agreement with Korail Networks, Joint Seminar to Promote Employment for Middle-Aged Station Staff
Collaboration with Various Private Companies Including hy and Jin Mobility
[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Cheol-young] The Seoul 50 Plus Foundation announced on the 25th that it will hold a corporate-linked job recruitment briefing session to support employment for middle-aged and older adults in collaboration with various companies willing to hire this demographic.
In particular, in cooperation with Korail Networks, which is preparing for large-scale recruitment in the second half of the year, a recruitment briefing session will be held on the 28th targeting middle-aged and older adults who wish to work in station service positions. Korail Networks is an organization responsible for station services and passenger vehicle operations under Korea Railroad Corporation (Korail), and on the 25th, the foundation signed a business agreement to support job linkage for middle-aged and older adults in station service positions.
Based on this agreement, both organizations will jointly hold briefing sessions to support middle-aged job seekers in public institution employment, providing detailed explanations of the blind open recruitment process and employment strategies to thoroughly address the concerns of middle-aged job seekers.
Additionally, the foundation has been sequentially holding recruitment briefing sessions for middle-aged job seekers in cooperation with private companies such as hy (formerly Korea Yakult) and Jin Mobility (I.M Taxi). Middle-aged job seekers participating in the briefing sessions receive vivid recruitment cases, including employment strategies introduced directly by each company's HR managers and real working environment experiences shared by peers currently employed. On the day of the event, those interested can also participate in resume writing, job experience, and on-site interviews.
Since this recruitment briefing session is conducted in connection with companies seeking to hire middle-aged workers, it can provide practical employment opportunities for middle-aged job seekers hoping to re-enter the workforce.
Lee Sung-soo, Head of Business Operations, said, “Many companies wish to hire middle-aged workers who have social experience and work history, but they often face difficulties in discovering excellent talent. We will continue to discover companies that need middle-aged personnel and strive to expand opportunities for middle-aged individuals to choose jobs that match their capabilities and skills.”
