Seongdong-gu Job Concert 'Neokneok Week (KNOCKKNOCK WEEK)' Held Makeup Support for Job Preparation

[Asia Economy Reporter Jongil Park] Seongdong-gu (Mayor Jeong Won-oh) will hold a job concert called ‘Neokneok Week (KNOCKKNOCK WEEK)’ for seven days from October 27 to November 2.

‘Neokneok Week,’ held at Seongdong-gu Youth Work-Da-Bang, a metropolitan job cafe in the northeastern area of Seoul, is an intensive employment support program targeting young people. The program’s name, which means both “to knock” in English and “ample” or “comfortable” when read in Korean, reflects the diverse and rich content prepared for this event.

Located in the safe shopping area in Seongsu-dong, the ‘Youth Work-Da-Bang’ specializes in the IT field and offers various employment support programs. Through the ‘Neokneok Week,’ young job seekers and participants will have the opportunity to understand their desired job roles and companies and learn how to create portfolios during this focused employment support week.

The main contents of the ‘Neokneok Week’ program include ▲special lectures on IT employment trends and portfolio creation ▲mentoring by current professionals in various fields (software development, UI design, service planning, etc.) ▲resume makeup and photo shoots.

Anyone from beginners preparing for employment to those about to attend interviews can participate, and mentors from various job roles in IT service sectors such as startups, social ventures, development, and design will be involved.

The special lectures will be held five times, and mentoring sessions seven times, both online and offline. The lectures provide guidance on overall recruitment, including expert talks on recruitment trends, information search methods, and how to create employment portfolios. During mentoring, current professionals such as social venture CEOs, HR managers, and developers will share insights on job status and the industry ecosystem and communicate with young job seekers through Q&A sessions.

Additionally, for young job seekers, offline services such as makeup and resume photo shoots will be provided, and employment counseling as well as resume and self-introduction letter consulting will be available at all times. Detailed information about the ‘Neokneok Week’ program schedule, content, and instructors can be found on the official blog ‘Seongdong-gu Metropolitan Job Cafe Youth Work-Da-Bang.’

Jeong Won-oh, Mayor of Seongdong-gu, said, “Seongdong-gu is planning various programs to help young people succeed in employment,” adding, “We hope many young people participate in this Neokneok Week and continue to knock on the door of Work-Da-Bang to obtain the information necessary for employment.”
