Professor Lim Chae-hong of Korea University Ansan Hospital Receives Best Academic Award from Korean Society of Radiation Oncology

[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Young-won] Professor Lim Chae-hong of the Department of Radiation Oncology at Korea University Ansan Hospital announced on the 19th that he received the Best Academic Award (HDX Academic Award) at the '2022 Autumn Academic Conference of the Korean Society for Radiation Oncology' held on the 13th-14th.

The Best Academic Award is given based on the evaluation of the sum of impact factors of first-author papers published in SCI and SCIE international journals over the past year. Professor Lim earned this honor by publishing a total of 15 papers in 2021, with a combined impact factor of 84 points.

Last year, Professor Lim mainly published research focused on therapeutic decisions in difficult situations, such as "Adjuvant Radiotherapy for Extrahepatic Cholangiocarcinoma: A Quality Assessment-Based Meta-Analysis" (published in Liver Cancer) and "Benefits of local consolidative treatment in oligometastases of solid cancers: a stepwise-hierarchical pooled analysis and systematic review" (published in NPJ Precision Oncology).

Professor Lim stated, "I will continue to devote myself to research to help reduce the suffering of cancer patients and contribute to improving their quality of life."
