Strengthening Job Competencies for Industry Workers... Dongseo University Signs MOU with Dongnam Region LINC 3.0 Project Group Southeastern region university officials are taking a group commemorative photo after signing the agreement.


[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Hwang Du-yeol] The LINC 3.0 Project Group of Dongseo University recently signed a joint operation agreement for the 'Southeastern Region LINC 3.0 Project Group and Industry Employee Job Competency Enhancement Project' with 14 universities nationwide at the International Seminar Room on the 4th floor of the main building of Gyeongnam National University.


To establish a close cooperative system for the project, the LINC 3.0 Project Group signed a joint operation agreement for the Industry Employee Job Competency Enhancement Project among ▲ Busan area universities including Dongseo University, Pusan National University, Pukyong National University, Dong-A University, Dong-Eui University, Dongmyung University, Silla University, Kyungsung University, Korea Maritime and Ocean University ▲ Gyeongnam area universities including Gyeongsang National University, Changwon National University, Inje University, Gyeongnam National University ▲ and Ulsan area university Ulsan University.


Through the agreement, each university agreed to actively cooperate in ▲ jointly operating the Southeastern region industry employee job competency enhancement project ▲ building and operating the Southeastern region industry-academia cooperation platform ▲ producing and educating online short-term industry employee courses in specialized university fields.


The universities that signed the agreement plan to produce 70 online education contents for industry employees focusing on new technologies such as metaverse-based cultural content production technology, mobility, and carbon neutrality technology, and provide job competency enhancement education centered on new technologies to industry employees in the Busan, Ulsan, and Gyeongnam (Boo-Ul-Gyeong) region.


In February next year, a workshop to discover new technology education contents will be held for the 14 Southeastern region LINC 3.0 Project Group universities to develop a job competency enhancement education curriculum for industry employees in the Southeastern region and to additionally discover customized education contents for industry employees incorporating new technologies.


The project is conducted under the supervision of the Dongseo University LINC 3.0 Project Group, supported by the Busan City Industry-Academia Cooperation Division, as part of the 3rd phase Leading University Fostering Project for Industry-Academia-Research Cooperation (LINC 3.0), funded by Busan City subsidies and the Southeastern region LINC 3.0 Project Group's budget.


Hwang Ki-hyun, head of the Dongseo University LINC 3.0 Project Group, said, “We will continuously produce and provide educational contents to enhance the job competencies of industry employees and strive to become a platform for the co-growth of companies in the Southeastern region.”
