Busan Dongbu Police Station announced on the 13th that they arrested a man in his 20s, Mr. A, at an officetel in Busanjin-gu on suspicion of fraud at the end of September.
According to the police, Mr. A posted fake listings of used agricultural machinery such as tillers and tractors from May to August for about three months, swindling approximately 39.5 million won from 27 farmers and self-employed individuals.
It is known that Mr. A spent all the money collected through this method on living expenses.
The police arrested Mr. A following complaints from the victims, investigated him, and then sent him to the prosecution on charges of fraud.
